Re: Let's buy and protect this forest!
Attention:. Everyone
My hudbznds first wife was the youngest of 13 children. After their four daughters were born, he found out she had lied about her age and a few other things, and he couldn't do legitimate business there because the mafias had every thing sewn up, so he quit the whole works, arranged for a divorce, got a job in Canada, kissed Colombia goodbye, and fled with the clothes on his back.
He told me that he flew with his boss in his little private plane (insurance company owner, with a "mistress" in every branch office) one entire day across Colombia, over continuous fields of marijuana, that the people were forced to grow or suffer great abuse. He visited self sufficient indiginous people who had never spoken Spanish and didn't know anyone who could translate Spanish, who were being forced off their lands at the pain of death.Later I read about judges being murdered there, and the newly elected President being kidnapped. The results of the lack of government there are a national tragedy, and I think sending money there is about equal to pouring sand down a rat hole and won't affect climate change, and possibly will do more harm than good, so, no, I will not donate and I'm so angry about it, if you ask me again after this explanation, I will be insulted and block you. Shutting down the oil companies and developing passive solar energy would help. There must be a way to get those suckers off the oil (pork) barrel.Do I sound pissed off? Yes, I am. Scientists have been telling us for a hundred years about the oil industry's effect on the ozone layer, even in kids comic books, but those greedy, oil hoods never outgrew their need for instant gratification, so here we all are, in the same boat with the same goons who caused this disaster.Besides, I'm as poor as a church rat. I worked all my life, but my retirement income is so low, I have never paid taxes after retirement.Sh*t!You don't have to apologize. You didn't know, but now you do.Sincerely,Susan
